Mosaic Making with Helen Miles
Learn new mosaic skills and refine your existing ones with this 8-week course which will give you the flexibility to create a range of indoor and outdoor mosaic projects.
The course is for people with no experience as well as those who want to expand their mosaic skills. New participants will learn cutting, laying and sticking techniques before making their own mosaic on a 25sq cm wooden board using ceramic and vitreous glass tiles. By the end of the course they will have all the skills needed for further projects including fixing and grouting.
Mosaic improvers will begin by learning about the range of different methods and their applications before deciding on their own project. Individual guidance and help will be offered as well as all the tools and materials needed.
There will be an opportunity to make a second mosaic using a different technique in the final two classes.
Maximum class size: 8
Please note: Due to studio rental costs, a minimum number of three people is required to run the course. In the event that the course is cancelled or postponed, you will receive a full refund.
